Overview
Deploying a CPU Pod takes only a few minutes. This article walks through the ALYPOD Console wizard from choosing a plan to your first SSH login.
Before you begin
- An active ALYPOD account at account.alypod.com.
- An SSH key pair (recommended) or a strong root/administrator password.
- A rough idea of the RAM, CPU and disk you need.
Steps
- Sign in to account.alypod.com and open the ALYPOD Console.
- Click Deploy Pod.
- Choose a product line: Shared CPU, Dedicated CPU, NVMe Disk, Windows or ARM (aarch64).
- Select a resource plan (vCPU, RAM, NVMe disk and bandwidth).
- Pick a data-centre region close to your users.
- Select an OS template (for example Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 12 or Windows Server).
- Add your SSH public key or set a root password. Prefer keys for security.
- Optionally paste a cloud-init script for first-boot configuration.
- Give the Pod a hostname, confirm the monthly price and click Create Pod.
Provisioning usually completes in under a minute. The Pod status moves from Building to Running.
Connecting
- Copy the Pod's public IP from the console Overview tab.
- Log in over SSH:
bash
ssh [email protected]
- If you disabled root login during hardening, use your sudo user instead:
bash
ssh [email protected]
Troubleshooting
- Problem: SSH connection refused. Solution: confirm the Pod is Running and that you are using the right IP and port.
- Problem: no key offered / permission denied. Solution: ensure your private
key is loaded (
ssh-add -l) and matches the public key added at deploy time. - Problem: cannot reach the console. Solution: open the Pod's VNC tab to see boot messages.
